Contents
1. Scope and definitions
This License is granted by [OPERATOR: legal entity name — launch blocker] and applies to all content you access through Studio Prompts, whether free or paid, on the website or through MCP. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
- Prompts
- Website, app and section prompts, DESIGN.md files and prompt sections, including any embedded code snippets.
- Assets
- Animated backgrounds, gradients, posters, video files and CSS snippets.
- Templates
- Starter projects and their source files, documentation and open-in links.
- Custom deliverables
- Prompts and files produced for you under a paid custom prompt request.
- Output
- Websites, apps, designs, code and media you create with a third-party AI tool using our content.
- Projects
- Your own websites and products, and websites and products you build for clients or employers.
2. What you may do
Subject to the Terms and to your having the relevant entitlement (free item, active plan, lifetime access, pack credit or individual purchase), we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual (for items you have unlocked) licence to:
- Use Prompts, Assets and Templates to create Output for an unlimited number of personal, commercial and client Projects.
- Modify, adapt, translate and combine content with your own work as part of a Project.
- Deploy, publish, sell and monetise Projects and the Output they contain. You own your Output to the extent permitted by the AI tool you used and applicable law.
- Keep using content you unlocked in Projects you built, even after your plan ends, subject to section 5.
- Share a Prompt with a collaborator or client working on the same Project, provided they do not reuse it outside that Project and are not building a competing library.
Attribution is appreciated but never required.
3. What you may not do
The library is our product; the licence covers building things with it, not distributing it. You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish or make available Prompts, Assets or Templates as such — including in prompt collections, bundles, marketplaces, community packs, newsletters, repositories, datasets or competing libraries — whether free or paid, modified or not.
- Scrape, bulk-export or systematically collect content, or use automated means other than our MCP server to access it.
- Share accounts, or unlock content on behalf of people who do not hold an entitlement.
- Use content to train, fine-tune or benchmark machine-learning models, or to build a product whose primary purpose is to generate design prompts.
- Redistribute Assets as stock media, wallpapers, background packs or standalone downloads, or offer them through any service where the Asset itself is the product.
- Sell or distribute a Template as a template, theme or starter kit, or publish it to a template marketplace, even if modified.
- Remove or obscure licence notices in Template source files.
- Use content in Projects that are unlawful, defamatory, or that infringe third-party rights, or claim that we endorse your Project.
4. Specific terms by content type
| Content | Included with | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free prompts and lessons | Everyone, within daily fair-use limits | Same usage rights as premium prompts; may be used without an account. |
| Premium prompts | Plans, lifetime, pack credits, individual purchases | Each unlock is permanent on your account. Pack credits are consumed per prompt, once. |
| Backgrounds and gradients | Plans that include asset access, lifetime | Use in Projects hosted anywhere. Do not host the file as a downloadable asset for others. Free items may be linked or downloaded by anyone. |
| Templates | Plans listed as including templates, lifetime | Unlimited Projects. Templates may include third-party open-source packages under their own licences, which continue to apply. |
| DESIGN.md files | Same as prompts | May be committed to your Project repositories, including private and public repositories that contain the Project. |
5. When a plan ends or a purchase is refunded
When a subscription ends, you keep the licence for items you unlocked while it was active and may continue using them in Projects you already built or are building. You may not unlock new premium items until you have an entitlement again.
If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the licence for items obtained through that purchase ends, except for Projects completed before the refund.
6. Custom prompt deliverables
Custom deliverables are private to the customer who commissioned them. We will not publish them in the library, reuse them for other customers or show them publicly without your written permission. You receive the same usage rights as for premium prompts, plus the right to keep the deliverable confidential. We retain the right to reuse general techniques, structure and know-how that are not specific to your brief.
7. Creator-submitted designs
Designs accepted through the creator program are licensed to us by their creators and are made available to you under this License like any other item. Creator credits shown on an item are informational; no additional attribution is required from you.
8. Ownership and warranties
We (or our licensors) retain all rights, title and interest in the content. You own your Output subject to the terms of the AI tool that generated it. Content is provided “as is”; we warrant that we have the right to license it as described here and, to the extent permitted by law, disclaim other warranties. Generated Output is not reviewed by us and should be checked before use.
9. Enforcement
Breaching this License ends it automatically for the content concerned and may lead to account suspension under the Terms. We may seek injunctive relief for redistribution of the library, which would cause harm that damages alone cannot repair.
Questions about edge cases (agency resale models, educational use, open-source Projects) are welcome at legal@studioprompts.com; we usually say yes to reasonable requests in writing.
