Cookie Policy
The cookies and browser storage Studio Prompts uses, what each one does, how long it lasts and how to control it. We rely on a handful of strictly necessary cookies and no advertising trackers.

2. Strictly necessary cookies and storage
These are required for the site to work and do not need consent.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| sb-* (auth session) | Keeps you signed in and refreshes your session securely. | Session, refreshed while you use the site |
| sp_vid | First-party visitor id. Used to apply the free copy limit for visitors, to attribute affiliate referrals to a first touch, and to de-duplicate analytics. Random value, not linked to your identity unless you sign in. | 400 days |
| sp_ref | Remembers the affiliate code from the link you arrived on so the affiliate is credited if you buy. | The affiliate cookie window (currently 30 days) |
| sp_return_to | Sends you back to the page you were on after signing in. | 30 minutes |
| sp_utm | Keeps the campaign parameters (utm_*) from the link you arrived on so a later purchase can be attributed to that campaign. | 30 days |
| studioprompts-motion | Remembers that you paused the moving gallery (set only when you press Pause). | 1 year |
| theme (localStorage) | Your light/dark preference. | Until cleared |
| Promo dismissal (sessionStorage) | Hides a sale bar you have closed. | Until you close the tab |
| Overlay return path (sessionStorage / history state) | Lets the Back button close a design overlay and return you to the grid you came from. | Until you close the tab |
3. Analytics
We measure usage with first-party events (page views, copies, likes, searches) tied to the pseudonymous visitor id above. The operator may additionally enable a privacy-focused analytics provider; if a cookie-based provider is enabled, it is listed here and, where required, we ask for consent before it loads.
- Plausible: cookieless, aggregated, no personal data.
- PostHog (optional): may set a first-party cookie to recognise returning browsers; loaded only when enabled and consented where required.
4. Third-party content
Some pages embed content from other companies, which may set their own cookies when it loads:
- YouTube (Academy lessons): embedded in privacy-enhanced mode and loaded only after you press play. YouTube’s cookie policy applies from that point.
- Payment checkout and billing portal: hosted by our payment processor on its own domain; its cookies are governed by its policy.
- Video and image delivery networks serve media files and may log technical data (IP address, user agent) for delivery and security.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookies means you cannot stay signed in and the free copy allowance may not work correctly. Clearing localStorage resets your theme and saved view. Instructions for common browsers are in their help centres (search “manage cookies” with your browser name).
6. Changes
We update this policy when we add or remove cookies. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
